René Barbier Meyer in Estonia | Priorat & Montsant | January 2026

In January 2026, Estonia welcomes René Barbier Meyer – Clos Mogador winemaker and driving force, one of the central figures in Priorat today.

Clos Mogador is one of Priorat's so-called “five pioneers” and was the first wine in the region, which was awarded Vi de Finca Qualificada status – Spain’s highest classification for a wine tied to one specific vineyard. The wines come from the steep llicorella slate terraces of Gratallops and are renowned for their structure, ageing potential and clear expression of place.

In addition to Clos Mogador, René Barbier Meyer also works with Sara Pérez on the project Venus La Universal, whose wines (including Dido) focus on a precise and restrained interpretation of Montsant.

In January you can meet René Barbier Meyer at three public events in Tallinn.
