Clos du Moulin is a Saumur Chenin Blanc from a new-generation producer – a lively, textured white, likely in a low-intervention style.

The wine's story:
The wine belongs in the context of Saumur’s new wave: Chenin Blanc, organic viticulture, small volumes and cellar work using amphorae, 500-litre barrels and concrete. Léo is based in the village of Parnay and works with the Saumur and Saumur-Champigny appellations.
If the wine is a Chenin Blanc, its role in the diWine range is clear: alongside Fabien Duveau, it adds a younger and slightly freer-breathing view of Saumur. Not a classic Sancerre-style Sauvignon, but a Loire white where acidity, texture and stoniness are equally important.
Winemaking:
- Grape: Chenin Blanc
- Appellation: Saumur
- Soil: clay, limestone, chalk, according to the producer’s general information
- Farming: organic viticulture
- Vinification: the producer uses amphorae, 500L barrels and concrete
Tasting notes:
A dry, fresh and textured Chenin Blanc, where you can expect yellow apple, citrus, white blossom, a slightly waxy texture and limestone minerality.
Food pairing:
- Fish tartare or ceviche
- Scallops, prawns, white fish
- Chicken or turkey with a lemony sauce
- Celeriac, roasted onion, cauliflower
